PGGM hired Singapore-based
Alpha Investment Partners to manage a S$360 million ($267 million) separate account mandate focused on commercial real estate investments in Japan, China and Singapore, according to an announcement on the Zeist, Netherlands-based pension manager s website.
The allocation includes a top-up option of up to S$320 million, which would bring the aggregate commitment to S$680 million, according to an April 1 joint news release.
PGGM has been a long-standing investor in various funds managed by Alpha, the private markets arm of Singapore-based Keppel Capital Holdings, an Alpha Investment spokeswoman said in an email. ....

Bob Radecker will step down as CIO for public markets at PGGM at the end of the year, a spokesman confirmed.
Mr. Radecker is responsible for internal and external management of public market investments, treasury and trading. PGGM s public markets AUM as of Dec. 31 was €200 billion ($245.6 billion). A replacement has not yet been named, the spokesman said.
PGGM is the in-house manager of Pensioenfonds Zorg en Welzijn, Zeist, Netherlands, which has €238 billion in assets.

Two pension funds in the Netherlands and one from Japan have invested a combined half a billion dollars in Brazil’s top three meatpackers.

Dutch managers APG, PGGM invest in Europe's largest train lessor | News

Dutch asset managers APG and PGGM are investing undisclosed sums to buy stakes in Europe’s largest independent train leasing company from exiting shareholders AMP Capital and Public Sector Pension Investment Board (PSP Investments).
APG, which already owns a 41.1% indirect interest in Alpha Trains, has agreed to buy AMP Capital’s 20.9% stake in the train lessor. APG previously bought its indirect shareholding from the Arcus European Infrastructure Fund in December 2019.
In a separate deal, PGGM Infrastructure Fund said it has agreed to buy a ”large minority interest” in Alpha Trains from PSP Investments.
AMP Capital and PSP Investments have been investors in Alpha Trains since its establishment in 2008. ....
