The Food Action Group within Transition Cornwall+ is asking for volunteers and donations to help grow and give away over 2,000 plants to the public, households, and community gardens.
“As people begin growing their own food, even if they only grow a single plant, they will naturally begin to ask more questions about the food they eat, which can spark a lifestyle change,” said member Kat Rendek.

Transition Cornwall+ is the main organizer of the group, and is looking to add volunteer gardeners to its growing list of community supporters. Previously, the group held single-day events to give away the plants, educate the public on environmental concerns and gardening tips, and advocate for a closer connection to nature.
