3 dead following a two-car accident near Lake Nockamixon
Three people died after a two-car accident on Route 563 just before midnight Friday near Lake Nockamixon in Haycock Township, Pennsylvania State Police said Saturday.
A 25-year-old man from Ottsville and a 26-year-old man from Quakertown were among those who died in the fiery crash, which happened next to the entrance of Nockamixon State Park at 1542 Mountain View Drive, according to a police statement released Saturday morning.
A 24-year-old woman from Rockaway, New Jersey, also died in the accident.
The two-car crash involved a 2005 Lexus and a 2007 Chevrolet Equinox, which was driven by a 26-year-old man from Ossinging, New York. Police said the New York man was flown by a medical helicopter to Thomas Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia for treatment.
