A Move-In like no other Penn undergraduates start arriving on campus to move into College Houses during an extended eight-day period in keeping with pandemic health and safety protocols. Carmen-Kay Harrison Montoya, (right) a freshman from Houston, and her mother, Edith Harrison Montoya, wrangle suitcases before heading to Riepe College House in the historic Quadrangle on Sunday, the first of eight days designated for nearly 3,000 undergraduates to move into University residences for the spring semester. Passing through the arched gate into the Quadrangle, Penn freshman Carmen-Kay Harrison Montoya stopped her blue cart brimming with bags, took a deep breath, and looked around at the green expanse inside the historic stone residence halls. ....
Housing and dining protocols and safety standards are in place for spring semester With months of preparation and practice, the Penn campus is ready for undergraduate students to return to campus in January. Several dining locations, like this cafe at Class of 1920 Commons, will be open for grab-and-go meals when students return to live on campus for the spring semester.
