Pemberton mayor denies claim he stole anti-HST sign

Pemberton Mayor Jordan Sturdy Pemberton Mayor Jordan Sturdy is denying a claim made by the Fight HST group that he stole an anti-HST sign that was located near his North Arm Farm property. Fight HST issued a press release Thursday (July 14) stating that the group s Sea to Sky co-ordinator, Kelly Carson, received a report from an undisclosed source who witnessed Sturdy removing the sign and taking it into his vehicle. The release also states that when Carson contacted Sturdy, he admitted to taking the sign. When reached by The Question for comment, Sturdy said the sign was no longer erect and he relocated it, but did not steal it as the Fight HST release claims.
