Palm Springs Art Museum to reopen on April 1
Art lovers rejoice. The Palm Springs Art Museum is reopening on April 1 after a year-long shutdown due to COVID-19. 
The museum will be open Thursday to Sunday through the summer, said Scott Slaven, director of marketing, communications and design. 
Operating hours will be 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday through Sunday. The museum will continue offering free admission on Thursday nights from 5 to 7 p.m.
The museum s restaurant, Persimmon Bistro, is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday to Sunday. 
Slaven said the museum is waiting until April 1 to reopen so they can rehire staff who were furloughed and laid off, or recruit new employees.  ....
