During Saturday's governorship and state assembly elections, an ad hoc staff member of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Arumodum Julius Akoi, was shot and killed by political thugs in Ward 7 Abua Central, Abua-Odual local government area of Rivers State, SaharaReporters has gathered. Arumodum died while being rushed to the hospital for medical treatment after being shot by yet-to-be-identified hoodlums while serving as an electoral official.  The news of his demise has been widely shared by his family and friends on social media.  ....
