A ray of hope flickered in the sky for performers all over the world last weekend when the iconic Lord of the Dance tour took to the stage before a huge audience in Taiwan, a country that has been Covid free for the past 250 days. Newmarket dancer Peig O Connor is among the group of 90 dancers from all over the world taking part in eight shows across Taichung, Taipei, Kaohsiung, Changhua and Hualien City. This was Peig s debut performance with the Lord of the Dance cast and she has certainly done her family and her dance school proud. She is still involved with the highly acclaimed Lorraine Duggan School of Dance where she learned her first steps back in 2005. After winning her first Munster title in 2015 she was invited to join the cast of the very successful show Celtic Steps in Killarney where she has danced for the last four seasons. ....
