PARIS: Iran´s powerful allies on Monday mourned the death of its President Ebrahim Raisi in a helicopter crash, while regional militants hailed him as a supporter of the Palestinian.
UNITED NATIONS, United States: Members of the UN Security Council, including the United States, observed a minute of silence on Monday in memory of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and his entourage.
In May, Mozambique will hold the rotating presidency of the Council. Pedro Comissario Afonso, the UN ambassador for Mozambique, requested that members rise and observe silence "in remembrance of the loss of life in a crash of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ebrahim Raisi" and his staff.
