Three years after Sarah Everard was murdered by a serving Police Officer, the detective who led the Murder Inquiry has spoken about the case on camera for the first time. Dci Katherine Goodwin told the bbc about her shock at finding out their Chief Suspect worked for the metropolitan police. She said to her boss youre not going to believe this. Last week an independent inquiry found that chances to stop wayne couzens, who abducted, raped and killed Sarah Everard, were repeatedly missed and he should never have been given a job as a Police Officer. Sarahs family hope a new documentary being shown after the third anniversary of her murder will contribute to the ongoing dialogue around violence against women and the way Police Approach this type of case. Talking about the stability of a six or seven week ceasefire in gaza. But, of course, israel decided not to send a delegation. Israels says the preconditions it insisted upon that hamas should provide a list of the hostages who remain alive, and those who might be exchanged in a prisoner swap, or hostage swap, with the palestinians, that wasnt forthcoming. So israel has decided not to send a delegation to cairo. That has been criticised in many parts of the israeli media, and the israeli public, as an unsustainable position. That isnt to say that had israel gone to cairo, there would be an automatic ceasefire there would be others stumbling blocks. Hamas wants the withdrawal of israeli troops from Populated Areas of gaza and the citizens of gaza to be allowed to return to their home areas in northern gaza.
