Anambra Police rescue 5 new born babies, 3 other children from child traffickers


There suspects are: Edna Nnadi, 37 years, Ujunwa Nweke, 25years ,Izuchukwu Uba, 24 years and Chinaza Ibeh, 19years.
Others include; Peace Okon Effiong, aged 25years, Gift Collins, ‘f’, aged 20years, Chimkaso Kingsley, ‘f’, aged 25years, Happiness Monday, 18years,Chioma Okonkwo, 25years and,Uchechukwu Nwankwo, aged 18years .
They were arrested on 26/1/2021 at about 7:am,following an intelligence report.
Confirming the rescue and the arrest, Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer PPRO, CSP Haruna Mohammed said police operatives attached to the SIB and Area Command, Oraifite, coordinated by the Area Commander, ACP Afolabi Wilfred, raided the house of one Melvina Uju Uba located opposite Nnamdi Azikiwe Orthopedic Teaching Hospital Oba in Idemili South local government area of the State, and arrested the suspects. ....

The Police in Anambra State have rescued five newborn babies and three other children from an apartment suspected to be used a baby factory.
It was gathered that the apartment located opposite Nnamdi Azikiwe Orthopedic Teaching Hospital Oba, in Idemili South Local Government Area of the state was raided following a tip-off.
Tribune Online reports that teenage girls were being impregnated and the babies were being sold out by the human traffickers.
Confirming the incident in a statement, the State Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Haruna Mohammed, said:

My abductors sold me to other gunmen - NIS Spokesperson, Bridget Esene narrates


The kidnapped spokesperson of the Edo State Command of the Nigerian Immigration Service, Mrs Bridget Esene, has narrated her ordeal in the hands of her abductors after her release.
Recall that Mrs Esene was kidnapped by five armed men who trailed her to her church at Ikhueniro, a community in Benin City on Sunday, January 24.
Following her kidnap, the Police swung into action to secure her release from her abductors.
However, the Spokesperson of the Edo State Police Command, Chidi Nwabuzor, on Tuesday said Mrs Esene was released at about 4 pm.
Nwabuzor failed to state if any ransom was paid for her release. ....

Police raid Anambra baby factory, arrest pregnant women, rescue newborns

Police in Anambra State have raided the home of one Melvina Uju Uba in Oba, Idemili South Local Government Area of the state, whose home was said to have been turned into a baby factory, for the breeding and sales of children.
DAILY POST gathered that 10 ladies, including five pregnant women were among those arrested by the police, while five new born babies and three children were rescued from the home.
It was learnt that the home haboured ladies who were used to produce children, who are later sold out to those in need of children at various sums, depending on their gender. ....
