Join us on this. before the news conference, we were talking about the democrats plan to take back the courts. back to brian fallon. let s button it up, it is not the amount of time we had for this, we ll try to make it work. you want to expand the courts, is that a rallying cry or something you believe can get done? i think it is both. you look at polling, the events of the last few years caused all registered voters according to quinnipiac in a poll from may to say if i had a margin of 55%, the court is making decisions based on politics, not the law, 51% of them support structural reform of the court to depoliticize it. if you look at voters 18 to 34, that number is higher, two-thirds of them support structural reform of the court. this is something on the cusp of evolving into a major issue. they re talking about proposals like green new deal, $15 minimum wage, single payor health care. ....

So i applaud president trump on doing the things he promised. we re rebuilding our military, too, by the way. all of those things are really important in terms of us keeping the house. dana: do you think it s possible to run on those positive things or do you have to figure out a way to scare your base and say, if you don t turn out, all of these things could go away? well, clearly, you ve got to show the contrast. people see that. they re seeing more money in their pay checks. now they know why. anyw they know nancy pelosi thought it was crumbs. they re enjoying the bonuses they have gotten. the other side wants to talk about health care. they re for single payor health care which means medicare is going bankrupt in eight years if we don t save it. they want to dump 200 million more people on medicare and make it go bank rupt quicker. that s not something good for ....

might be a little yellous a bit. republicans do well eating their old. that s what we ve seen right. i think the split will effect them at some point. it may not be a 2018 problem. i absolutely think it s a 2020 problem. i can pretty much guarantee you that single payor health care isn t going to drive a democratic nominee. i think that dynamic is very telling for the democratic party. that split was very real when you look at how jill stine split the vote. had they gone under hillary clinton, that was a very real fraction within the progressive movement. well, you had a pinch hit. ....

The affordable care act, to do go about the issues that were raised about those premiums and to join the work that s been going on now for weeks with the two senators that lead that committee across the aisle to make some fixes. a and i think these three senators will join me too and i ask all of you well is and put the politics aside and the people first. thank you. senator cassidy. [applause] it has been such a privilege to be with you all and thank you for having me. there s several things we agree on tonight. we agree we have to do something about pharmaceutical costs. we agree that there should be access. we actually agree that obamacare is broken because there s advocates for single payor health care. what we disagree on is where the power should be. when i was a doctor i learned if the patient had the power, if you had the power the system lined up to serve you. if the state has the power it can be more responsive to those who live in the state. ....
