Pawan Khatana, western UP president of Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU), said, “Our responsibility is to make voters aware of their rights, not to sit at home during the election and then garland the same leader, against whom we had protested.”
Farmers affiliated to BKU’s Tikait faction said on Monday they will join the Sanyukt Kisan Morcha's ‘Kisan Mazdoor Mahapanchayat’ at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan on March 14 in cars, buses and tractor trolleys, raising the possibility of traffic jams on the Noida and Yamuna expressways on a weekday.
Farmers plan tractor march to Chilla Noida: Following protests by Bhartiya Kisan Parishad and All India Kisan Sabha at NTPC Noida and in front of the Greater Noida Authority’s office, two more groups of farmers under the banner of Bhartiya Kisan Union (BKU) Tikait and BKU Lokshakti, will hit the road this week to demand a law guaranteeing minimum support price (MSP).

Traffic was disrupted on the stretch between Pari Chowk and Surajpur as a group of around 100 farmers affiliated to BKU (Tikait) moved towards the collectorate on 50 tractors and a bus. Read more about it here.
