Former LA Pit Bull Rescuer/Trainer Arrested Again, after Failing Drug Test Details ANIMAL WATCH-Steffan Baldwin, former Los Angeles Pit Bull advocate/rescuer and dangerous dog trainer, flunks drug test, violates bond, according to an Ohio MJT headline on December 17, 2020. Baldwin, founder of Save Them Dog Training and co-founder of Underdog Alliance was originally taken into custody on July 24, 2020, by the Los Angeles County Sheriff s Department and held for arraignment on 42 felony and misdemeanor charges 13 of which involve animal cruelty. All stem from alleged criminal activities in Ohio and California. Baldwin was a hero among No Kill advocates. When Los Angeles Animal Services GM Brenda Barnette, announced the 2018 opening of Weingart Center for the homeless and their pets on downtown LA s Skid Row, the LA Times stated that Steffan Baldwin had been selected as the dog trainer for the facility. ....
A local attorney sent a cease and desist letter to the San Diego Humane Society demanding the organization stop abandoning adoptable cats. In a letter to San Diego Humane Society President Gary Weitzman dated Dec. 8, attorney Bryan Pease says he represents the Animal Protection and Rescue League, Inc. and the Paw Protectors Rescue, two organizations that insist the Humane Society “immediately cease from releasing friendly, adoptable cats back to the street and that any and all plans to start releasing friendly, adoptable cats be canceled.” The letter says that if Weitzman does not confirm by Dec. 22 that the organization has stopped the releases, legal action will be necessary. ....
