Police release more details on Durban jewellery store robbery

Authorities say they are investigating cases of robbery, attempted murder and assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm after a jewellery store at the Pavillion shopping centre in Westville was targeted.

Police spokesperson, Thembeka Mbele says they were held at gunpoint and the suspects assaulted them.
She says they demanded the keys to the safe and took a bag with jewellery.
The security guards who were performing their duties noticed what was happening and confronted the suspects. A shootout ensued between the guards and the suspects.   ....
