Pauline Savage, 94, a native of Syracuse, died Saturday at Loretto while asleep in her recliner, according to her obituary.
Her obituary describes many things about her unique personality, including how she never sent a birthday card without a dollar and how she never had money because she gave it away to anyone who needed it.
Even though she didn’t smoke, she always carried a pack of cigarettes and matches for the “bums” she might see on excursions to the city. Her family continued with how she never went to a doctor’s appointment without a pistachio cake for the staff.
