YORK, Maine  Fifty-four months have passed since the town s Board of Appeals sided with neighbors who claimed Gammon Lawn Care s operations at 650 York Street are impermissible.
Fifty-three months have passed since the BOA issued written findings of fact that contradicted the board s own verbal decision with regard to the business owned by Josh Gammon.
Eight months have passed since the Maine Supreme Judicial Court sent the dispute back to the town to fix the discrepancy between the BOA s verbal and written decisions.
Now the BOA is taking another month to consider its next steps.
The long-running land use dispute was back on the BOA s agenda Wednesday night, but when the matter came up for discussion, the members quickly decided to punt it to their next meeting, on Feb. 24. ....
