good morning from the studio 57 newsroom at cbs news headquarters in new york. i m hena doba in for anne-marie green. earl morning hne michael was downgraded to a tropical storm as it moved over south central georgia, but the most powerful hurricane on record to ever hit the florida panhandle left behind a trail of breathtaking destrction. the damage is widespread and extensive. at least two deaths are blamed on the storm. a half million customers are without power in three states. florida, georgia, and alabama. michael came ashore with sustained winds of 155 miles per hour producing a storm surge that reached 12 feet in some coastal areas. we begin our coverage with nicole killian in hard-hit panama city beach. good morning, nicole. reporter: hey, good morning to you, hena. i want you to look at some of this damage. we ve got this tree down, power pole down, over here we have pieces of tin stuck on wires. because of all of this damage a curfew has been imposed until later
