died in the street. she was a jenner generous person, kind-hearted woman. the death is just shocking. reporter: detectives spent much of the day here. at the time of the accident, police assay roper was wrapping up his shift heading wack to the garage and then back to the garage. three hours later, detectives tracked the bus down in the midwood section of brooklyn. carol s friend cannot believe she s gone. she was there any time i needed her. when she knew i had nothing, she would come over and whisper to me and say here, this is for you. this is for you. reporter: and faith tells me carol had at least one daughter who would come to the shell ter and visit her mom. the bus driver, paul roper, left out of the precinct in cuffs. we re told he s been on the job for 15 years. for now we re live in brownsville, kemberly richardson. thank you. now not subway stabbing now to the substay accident. two people were stabbed on a avenue. shirleen allicot is live with
this morning, the last morning, this is the first morning she kissed me goodbye. and said, i will see you when i get back. reporter: detectives from the 73 precinct spent much of the day at the depot. at the time of the accident, police say the driver was wrapping up his shift heading back to the garage. once here, a second driver then, not knowing about the fatal accident, took the bus back out on the road. after watching this video police then set out looking for the bus. three hours later, they found it and pulled it over in the midwood section of brooklyn. several workers were seen going in and out of the precinct all day as crime scene investigators went over each and every inch of that bus looking for evidence. it s horrific. it s the way they run this street. they need to put a light here. reporter: now, as for paul roper, that mta bus driver, we re told he s been on the job for 15 years. at this point, again, he s charged with leaving the scene of an accident,
medic stabbed and right now the knife wielding attacker is on the run. good evening at 11:00 i m bill ritter. i m sade baderinwa. a manhunt underway. the stabbing happening near a subway stop on eastern parkway and rogers avenue in crown heights. eyewitness news reporter josh einiger tweeting this photo of a line of cops searching for clues. the question now, why did this happen. josh. reporter: first of all we will say the victim was not seriously hurt. that s not really the issue here. the issue here is that police still don t know what the motive was in this attack, and that s why over the past hour this seen has expanded exponentially. it is an enormous crime scene, eastern parkway and rogers avenue. eastern parkway is shut down on the service road as they search for clues. in the past few minutes we received a copy of the radio transmission as this volunteer medic called for help. i ve been stabbed! reporter: after his urgent call for help this cell phone video
