it is my honor and my pleasure point to welcome this evening s speaker. a colonel douglas mastriano, who was commissioned into the united states army in 1986. he began his career on the iron curtain but the second armored cavalry regiment well serving of the east german and tesco for hockey and and czechoslovakian orders. later to be deployed to iraq for operation desert storm. he served for four years and nato headquarters in germany previous deployed three times to afghanistan. colonel mastriano later served on the faculty of the united states army war college, from which he is now retired. a military historian, he led the efforts to locate the spot where where alvin york proceeded to perform the actions from which he was awarded the medal of honor in 1918. it is truly an incredible story. he also led a planned and organized the construction of a historic trail that features monuments and historic markers in the argonne forest where all visitors can walk where sergeant
so, zooming in on philadelphia right now, you can see this is generally freezing rain, little bit of sleet mixed in. manayunk where we ve got the hills could be a big problem. i-95 it s falling. fortunately most of the major roads have been treated. the secondary roads definitely concerned. it s a little bit heavier in northeast philadelphia. also through jenkintown and frankford. as we zoom in, it s beginning to migrate east of the new jersey turnpike. very slowly. it s very light but do notice out in the northwestern suburbs where they generally got the snow, that is shutting off right now and as far as the snow, the snow will really be ending. it s generally just the freezing rain and the rain. sole,. so wilmington light freezing rain, salem new jersey also bridgeton. it s continuing to push to the east. so we ve got winter weather advisories in effect until 9 o clock for essentially philadelphia, the northwest suburbs again allentown reading and lancaster it s over for
