AstraZeneca Vaccine Suspended Over Blood Clot Concerns

Thirty thousand people will have their AstraZeneca vaccination appointments cancelled this week as a result of the clinical pause on its roll-out. Earlier we spoke to Paul Moynagh, Professor of Immunology about his reaction to the suspension and the risk it poses to public confidence in the vaccine rollout and for more we were joined on the show by Colm Henry Chief Clinical Officer with the HSE.

Hospitalisations moving in 'right direction' as Covid-19 patients & ICU admissions fall again in 'reason to be hopeful'

THE number of Covid-19 patients in hospital and ICU is moving in the right direction as figures fall again.
According to the latest HSE records, 475 patients are battling the virus in hospital, down from 498 yesterday morning.

The number of Covid patients in intensive care units has also fallen from 115 to 112, however 85 of these patients are seriously ill and on ventilators.
Last night health bosses recorded the lowest number of new cases since mid-December with 359. ....
