Adventurous Syracuse alum competes on epic TV show ‘Race to the Center of the Earth’ Syracuse.com 39 mins ago
Life is an adventure for Syracuse University alumnus David Bacon.
Bacon, 48, is competing on the epic new National Geographic TV show “Race to the Center of the Earth.” The adrenaline-fueled reality competition pits four teams of three adventurers each from around the world in a sprint over untamed jungles, treacherous mountains, bustling cities and more for a $1 million prize.
Bacon represents Team North America with Paul Montague Jr. and Mindy Murphy, who are both friends and employees at Bacon’s Denver-based job recruiting company BW Bacon. Bacon is the company’s CEO, while Murphy is an account manager, and Paul is a recruiter; all share a love of the outdoors. One of the best perks of their job is when Bacon declares a snow day, and staff meet on the ski slopes instead of the office.
