okay occoquaning. people are being treated after being run over on a strip. police say a woman intentionally drove her car onto the sidewalk. one killed, 26 hurt. it happened at 6:30 in the evening vegas time last night. police say the car kept going and they found it at a hotel. the woman in her 20s had a 3-year-old in the car with her. they were not hurt. charges are expected. eun? thank you, kristin. grief counselors will be in fairfax county to help those dealing w a laween akrawi died. you don t want to put your mom or dad through this, any of your friends. police tell us another teenager in the car was hurt but should recover. tonight visitation will be held for 19-year-old paul mcginnis. he s the virginia man found dead in an alley last thursday in d.c. mcginnis was at a bar celebrating his cousin s birthday. police are not calling this a homicide at this point. his funeral will be tomorrow in reston. we re following two developing stories in the district
outer loop. delays are extending back. you can see a long string of traffic there. there s activity on the left-hand shoulder and that s causing a bit of a delay coming down laurel and if you re traveling eastbound on 66 things are moving quite nicely for you in fairfax. not too much of a problem as you head toward the beltway. thanks, kim. we re staying on top of a developing story in montgomery county. a man is dead after the shooting. police say the gunman and victim knew each other. this all happened inside a house on ridge road in damascus. that s where news4 s derrick ward is live with the investigation. derrick? reporter: yeah, we re in the 2400 block of ridge road in damascus. you can take a look. police have been focusing on the other side since about 12:35. that s when they got the call. seems like it was some sort of get-together. at least two families t families who live here and other folks who were visiting when some sort of fight broke out. the victim is
late last night, when a call went in to npd that a car went into water. the car traveled down the pier ended up on its roof underwater. inside police found an adult male. he s not been identified. this person was pronounced dead. now later this morning that car was finally taken out of the water and towed away to further the investigation, but at this point we have no word on how the car ended up there, whether the person found inside was a driver or an occupant of the car and exactly who called 911 to let them know that this had happened. by the looks of the dock you can see that the car must had been traveling with some speed, certainly some power to take out all of those posts on one side of that pier, roll off and end up on its roof with a man dead inside. we are live at antacostia park. derrick ward. family and friends gathering to remember 19-year-old paul mcginnis. his funeral starting right now in restin, virginia. dc police found him dead at an alley behind a bar.
