Adam Walden was approved as Madison County engineer, replacing Mark Gvillo, who retired in November. Michael Bold was named the county’s facilities director, taking over from Rob Schmidt, who left to work for the Madison County Transit District in July. Voting against both appointments were Democratic board members Michael “Doc” Holliday and Bruce Malone of Alton, Matt King of East Alton, Chris Hankins of Pontoon Beach, Jack Minner of Edwardsville, Nick Petrillo of Granite City and Gussie Glasper of Madison. ....
