The former President Olusegun Obasanjo has charged Rotarians to continue to grow membership, stating that it is important to find the right people who have the passion to carry on the Rotary International services to humanity and support the Rotary Foundation.
He disclosed this recently at the Rotary International – 39th District 9110 Conference, Tagged: ‘Opportunities DisCon 2021.’
A statement by the Rotary International said the 39 District conference and award programmes was extremely a successful event, due to a number of things.
The statement further explained that Rotarian Bola Oyebade, Past President Abiodun Oshinibosi, Chairman, District Conference Committee 2021 and his team were still able to organise a wonderful 2021 District Conference at Abeoukuta, the Ogun State capital from May, 27-30 with the theme: ‘Opportunities Discon 2021.’
Rotary Club president earns Paul Harris recognition

LAHAINA At a recent meeting, Rotary Club of Lahaina Rotary Foundation Committee Chair Joseph D. Pluta outlined the history of the foundation, including how Paul Harris recognition began. The honor acknowledges individuals who contribute (or who have contributions made in their name) of $1,000 to The Rotary Foundation. The Rotary Club of Lahaina became a “100 percent Paul Harris Club” in 2012, when every member achieved Paul Harris status.
