The commercial vacancy rate in Sligo increased to 20.5% in December 2023, according to the latest GeoDirectory Commercial Buildings Report. The report, prepared by EY, found that this was higher than the national average of 14.3%.
Sinn Féin MEP Chris MacManus has urged Sligo County Council to ensure that the proposed Bellaghy-Collooney Greenway is developed a safe distance from the unused railway line. The Midlands Northwest representative was speaking after making a submission to the second public consultation being held on the project.
