When natural calamities like earthquakes, floods etc damage and destroy public and private properties including school buildings , it is a natural corollary that the exercise of rebuilding, repairs and renovations should take place instead of leaving things as they turned out to be as a result thereof. However, residents of Dargam , Pattan Kashmir are sore about the building of the Middle School in their area having been damaged in an earthquake a decade ago, continuing to be without an alternative new building. This school established in 1966 has a roll of over 120 students and had been operating from the same dilapidated and damaged building , the authorities being oblivious of the potent hazards of such a way of running school is totally unacceptable.
