LANSING, MI - The Michigan State Capitol Commission appears to have the votes to prohibit open carry of firearms in the state Capitol building, as at least one commissioner who previously opposed a ban has swung his support in favor of the move.

The morning after the D.C. riot, Erik Nordman called his state senator, Sen. Roger Victory, R-Hudsonville, with concerns about a letter Victory signed urging Congress to examine allegations of voter fraud.
Victory’s office got back to him, and a staff member left a voicemail saying only those who rioted in D.C. could be blamed for what took place.

LANSING, Mich. First came the “Unlock Michigan” protest. More than 1,000 cars, many draped with flags supporting President Trump, drove around the Michigan State Capitol, blaring their horns and decrying Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s coronavirus lockdown orders. Hundreds of others, many armed with military-style weapons, milled about on the lawn.
