N thank you. and joining me now, republican congressman patrick mehan of pennsylvania. good morning. you said that the administration s initial budget in march reflected a quote of different set of priorities that you have set. as you look at this first full budget, what do you make of it? i think it s messaging tool. it s not different than what has happened in every administration. the president sets out what they would like to see in terms of a budget but it s congress that ultimately proper yates t ultimately appropriates the money. and the senate is going to be the first place you see reaction to. this and my suspicion is it will not comport with what the president put forward. what do you think the message is with when so many of the place tas that are taking cuts are programs that help with the poor, medicaid, the food stamp ....
A pushed back into the spotlight in several days. that s when the congressional budget office will release its analysis of the house health care reform bill. the bill narrowly passing with 217 votes. this cbo score will determine how many people could lose coverage, something that lost on voters across the country including this mother. i m here because his health care is expensive. and we need to stand up for health care that s matters, you know, medicaid matters. and so again, what would happen if medicaid were cut for your family? we would be completely bankrupt. we would lose everything. it would just be devastating to our family. joining me now republican representative patrick mehan of pennsylvania, memberst house ways and means committee and the house ethics committee. thank you for being with us. did you not vote for the acha. you re one of a very small number that said, no this is not ....
Congressman patrick mehan. thank you so much for your time. great to be here with you. let me get your reaction to this news that we just got in only an hour ago that u.s. officials say the source, the person that tipped them off was to be the suicide bomber. what can you tell me about that? whatever tactics are part of it, ultimately it would be a great effort to try to protect that, i believe. but it will likely come down. i think the more serious point as you see the persistence on the part of al qaeda to look at aviation as a target. to perfect their methods and the concern about yemen being a location in which we re seeing increased very dangerous activity with al qaeda. but can you, i know obviously, this is all still developing and you have limited ability to share with us what is being discussed privately. but this new information that u.s. officials say the source, the person who was supposed to carry that more sophisticated ....
