Patrick Koaneil Brown, 42, of Midvale, was charged Thursday in 3rd District Court with murder and two counts of discharging a firearm causing serious injury, both first-degree felonies; possession of a firearm by a restricted person, a second-degree felony; and discharge of a firearm, a third-degree felony.
Brown is accused of shooting Darnell Brown, 39, on April 21 near 4500 S. Main. The two men were not related, according to police.
