You can still use Latitude to automatically update and share your location, but check-ins let you add context to the location - like captions on a photo. Latitude can be set to automatically detect your location, but there are now some unique features like notifications. If turned on, it will check you in at a nearby place once you arrive, this stops you from forgetting to check in ever again. Automatic check-ins is quite self-explanatory as it will check you in automatically once you get there without having to touch your phone. Check-out does the opposite, it will check you out so your friends aren t left guessing whether you re there or not. ....
Nationwide Building Society is taking applications for its first apprenticeships which will be delivered in partnership with Swindon’s new Institute of Technology. The society is recruiting apprentice roles in tech-related areas including cybersecurity, software development and DevOps in order to offer more opportunities for people looking to start new careers in technology. The IoT will be based on the New College North Star campus and has been developed in partnership with Swindon employers to deliver timely, relevant, and industry-based STEM learning to its students. It will offer a mixture of remote and face-to-face learning and aims to bring new career opportunities to the region, with the aim of educating more than 1,000 people within five years of opening. ....

Working alongside the Swindon Institute of Technology, Nationwide is seeking apprentices in tech areas including cyber security, software development and DevOps. Beginning in September, the programme will be based at a campus in Nationwide’s hometown, Swindon, where face-to-face and remote learning will be provided.
