Patricia (Beltz) Stevens passed away suddenly from this life on Christmas Day 2020. She will be remembered by all she encountered as a dependable friend and colleague, gifted heart with talent and good humor.
Born in 1943 to Walter and Alice (Richard) Beltz in Schwenksville, Pennsylvania, Pat became valedictorian of her 1961 high school class, received an undergraduate degree from Gettysburg College in 1965, a master’s degree at Wisconsin University in 1966, and began teaching mathematics in eastern Pennsylvania. She married John Stevens on December 26, 1966, and in 1976 joined him at his military assignment near Nurnberg, West Germany, where she taught at the American School for military dependents there. In 1970 they moved to State College Pennsylvania, where Pat again taught math while John pursued his doctorate at Penn State. In 1967 they moved to Needham, Massachusetts; here John taught at Babson College ....
