and good tuesday morning. we begin with another cruise ship in trouble. a fire erupts on board sending thousands of terrified passengers scrambling out of bed. the badly scorched royal caribbean ship arrived in the bahamas after the harrowing ordeal in the middle of the night, but that dream vacation is over, and today those passengers are heading home. abc s devin dwyer has the latest. reporter: on the grandeur of the seas, it was a startling start to memorial day. not a drill, not a joke. everyone is freaking out. reporter: passengers were roused from their sleep, told to put on life jackets and prepare to evacuate the ship. it was really stormy, so we honestly thought the boat might have been sinking, and we were just like panicking and running upstairs. reporter: the cruise ship was on fire. a blaze engulfed a bar and dining area at the stern burning for more than two hours until crews got it under control. the fire was much more intense that we even ....
