A man of principles

A man of principles July 1, 2021 Usman Khan Kakar was indeed a man of principles. He never compromised on democratic norms and constitutional obligations, and had unflinching faith in judicial independence and the supremacy of the constitution. He was against the interference of state institutions in the affairs of parliament. He always raised his voice for the rights of oppressed communities and the poor. He remained a loyal member of the Pashtunkhwa Mili Awami Party (PkMAP). Throughout his political career, he struggled to provide better life amenities to people. His vision was to promote democratic values in the country. He was a charismatic leader who was loved and respected by an enormous number of people.

PDM's 'First Phase' Ends With New Calls for Long March on Islamabad

PDM’s ‘First Phase’ Ends With New Calls for Long March on Islamabad PDM’s ‘First Phase’ Ends With New Calls for Long March on Islamabad United opposition claims it will march on federal capital in late January or early February The united opposition’s Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) staged the “final phase” of its anti-government public gatherings at Lahore’s Minar-e-Pakistan on Sunday, reiterating warnings of a “long march” on Islamabad and an end to the incumbent government’s rule. Staged despite the government warning of security threats and fears over it contributing to the COVID-19 pandemic, the public gathering attracted thousands but fell short of setting any records, with government lawmakers claiming it proved Lahore had “rejected” the opposition’s narrative. In contrast, the opposition has claimed that they are very pleased with the response.
