As he slips his feet into the dead man’s incredible shoes, Jules also steals his identity and becomes King, a charismatic man who wants only one thing: to take his revenge on the person who killed him… Papier, written and directed by Britta Potthoff and Adrien Pavie, will thrust the audience into 1944 by way of bomb-strewn Alsace. Ten-year-old Emma divides her time between the family library and her father’s factory. Her imaginary world is peopled by paper creatures. On the day the Nazis arrive, Emma’s universe is torn apart, unleashing a terrifying and devastating, black paper monster…
