The first time the building moved was for progress downtown. The metro headquarters was getting built. Metro displaced this little building and moved it to the new site here. The Jewish Historical Society has done a number of weddings thebar mitzvahs in synagogue, but it is not used as a traditional synagogue, it is more for special events.
