City of Parramatta Council is helping local not-for-profits, community groups, social enterprises, creative organisations and sports clubs bounce back from the challenges presented by COVID-19 and improve their services with the launch of its 2021 Community Grants program.
The annual grants program aims to support services and activities that enhance the social, cultural and economic wellbeing of the Parramatta community.
“The pandemic has impacted us all in one way or another, but our local community groups and services have been instrumental in helping us through a particularly difficult year,” City of Parramatta Lord Mayor Cr Bob Dwyer said. ....

City of Parramatta Lord Mayor welcomes new Sydney Uni campus in Westmead

The NSW Government has partnered with the University of Sydney to establish a new multidisciplinary campus in Westmead in the heart of Western Sydney. A framework agreement was recently signed for the delivery of a world-class education and research campus within the Westmead Health and Innovation District. The new University campus will build on the District’s role as one of the largest health, education, research and training precincts in Australia.
Welcoming the partnership, City of Parramatta Lord Mayor Cr Bob Dwyer commented that the new University of Sydney campus in the growing Westmead precinct will be a huge win for the people of Western Sydney, transforming the City of Parramatta into an innovation powerhouse. He noted that the NSW Government’s announcement realises the Council’s longstanding vision for Westmead as a world-leading innovation, health and education centre. ....

Powerhouse Parramatta builders shortlisted

Powerhouse Parramatta is one step closer after the NSW Government has shortlisted three contractors to deliver a world-class museum in the geographical heart of Sydney.
Delivering more than 4000 jobs during and after construction, this nationally important cultural infrastructure project will deliver Western Sydney its richly deserved first-ever major cultural institution, a project that will have generational impact on the lives of young people across the region.
