Parma Heights’ Citizen’s Police Academy starts March 24 at the Public Safety Training Center located at the Tri-C Western Campus.
PARMA HEIGHTS, Ohio Just months before policing policies came into question after the high-profile deaths of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor, Parma Heights in a joint Cuyahoga Community College initiative held its inaugural Citizen’s Police Academy.
While the pandemic paused the course, which was ultimately finished last fall, Parma Heights Chief Steve Scharschmidt said the program was an overwhelming success. ....
