KATHMANDU, Aug 23 The Supreme Court (SC) has issued an interim order directing the federal and provincial governments not to spend the money allocated for the Constituency Development Fund.
KATHMANDU, June 22: While the federal government is facing a massive shortfall in revenue collection and the sub-national governments are under pressure on their declining treasury balance, they have allocated a total of Rs 17.35 billion on unproductive expenses to be done by lawmakers.

While the government claims that this program is different from the previously criticized Constituency Development Fund (CDF), it is important to remain vigilant and take necessary measures to prevent any potential misuse of funds by lawmakers.
