“RRC” thinks I devoted too much attention to the sorry state of Britain’s seat of government, the Parliamentary Estate, and the billions upon billions of pounds (as much as $28 billion in U.S. dollars) that will be required to keep it from collapsing. What RRC means, in the language of the trade, is that I buried the lede that the more pertinent issue, in a column earlier this year, was the $4 million currently being spent to construct a tunnel from the Arkansas State Capitol to the nearby Big MAC, the government office building which houses some state agencies and legislative conference rooms.
