Parler Will Be Back Up & Running Next Week With New Guidelines 02/16/21 AT 5:13 PM The social media platform Parler was forced offline last month after refusing to remove posts about Jan. 6 that allegedly incited violence, but it just announced that it’s ready to re-launch next week. The Amazon-hosted platform was booted off the service and was removed from the Google Play and Apple app stores on Jan. 11. John Matze, the former CEO, was fired just a few weeks after on Jan. 29. A reason for his termination wasn’t released. Parler sent an email out announcing its new interim CEO, Mark Meckler of the Tea Party Patriots movement, and that previous users would be able to use the platform starting this week.
