Rapper Silento 'charged with murder' as police investigate fatal shooting of cousin

DeKalb County Police Department statement
Silento, whose real name is Richard Ricky Hawk is believed to have shot Rooks on January 21, with cops finding the victim in the middle of a street with several gunshot wounds .
The fatal incident is said to have happened on Deep Shoals Circle in Panthersville, Georgia at around 3.30am, where Rooks was pronounced dead on the scene.
It is unclear what triggered the attack, with police launching an investigation which is on-going.
Today, Ricky Hawk, 23, was arrested for the murder of his cousin Frederick Rooks, 34. On January 21, the DeKalb County Police Department investigated Rooks death after he was found shot on Deep Shoals Circle. As per inmate records and a statement from the DeKalb County Police Department via Twitter, the rapper, whose legal name is Richard Lamar Hawk, was taken into custody and booked into DeKalb County Jail on one felony charge count of murder.
