Our Correspondent Imphal, Aug. 29 (EMN): Union minister of Social Justice and Empowerment, Dr. Virendra Kumar on Monday visited Manipur’s Chandel district and inspected various programmes which are being taken up under the aspirational districts programme. Chandel district in Manipur borders Myanmar and is placed under the 115 aspirational districts of the country. The Union minister attended a review meeting of the programmes at Chandel district headquarters wherein the Deputy Commissioner Mayanglangbam Rajkumar highlighted the works taken up under the Programme through a presentation. During the meeting, the Union Minister said that the government of India under Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been taking up various developmental programmes for the people of Northeast India.
