SIR – I’ve been asked to sign a petition to strip Paula Vennells, the former chief executive of the Post Office, of her CBE (report, January 6). What I fail to understand is why she was honoured in the first place. It must have been obvious that the Post Office’s handling of the Horizon scandal was grossly incompetent at the highest level.
