Community group branches out to help victims of flooding in Warrington

Helping Hands Orford, Poplars and Hulme
A COMMUNITY group which was set up in response to the Covid-19 pandemic has been helping victims of flooding in Warrington.
Helping Hands Orford, Poplars and Hulme was founded by Carol Kilgannon and Stephen Murphy, initially delivering small bags of essentials to those who were isolating or shielding during the first national lockdown.
The group has since grown into a vital lifeline for anyone in need of support, operating from the bowling green hut at Tetley Walkers Social Club in Long Lane, Orford.
During the recent flooding which devastated Warrington, Helping Hands volunteers were determined to help. ....
