Ethan D. Fitzgerald was arrested near his home Monday by a team of police, including officers from Monson, Ludlow, Ware, and the Hampden County Special Response Team and the state police detective unit.

Brenda Mayhew, charged with killing Marcia Wilson of Palmer, ordered to undergo mental competency exam Updated Feb 17, 2021; PALMER The Palmer woman charged with stabbing Marcia Wilson to death in Wilson’s kitchen on Feb. 8 was reportedly erratic in the days before the killing, had run up extensive debts purchasing military-style combat knives, and spoke of killing herself and her dog in some kind of ritualistic suicide. Three times in the two days before the homicide, police were sent to check on Brenda Mayhew after her family grew concerned. After one of those visits, Mayhew consented to be taken to Baystate Wing Hospital for a mental health evaluation, according to a police report. She was later released and stayed overnight at the 15 Fox St. home of Wilson and her husband.

Feb 17, 2021 A 54-year-old Palmer woman has been arrested for her connection with a Fox Street murder last week. The Hampden County DA says Brenda Mayhew was arrested for her role in the death of one person on February 8th. Police were called to the home where they had to force the door open and found one person dead and two others hurt. The DA is not saying what connected the investigation to Mayhew.
