Singapore News - The Goh Foundation pledged $6.35 million to the SingHealth Duke-NUS Supportive and Palliative Care Centre on Monday to boost services for seriously and terminally ill patients in Singapore. Great honour for MMM sister Marian

With the reality of COVID-19 this will be a virtual event. A member of the UCD School of Medicine Class of 1975, after qualification Sister Marian spent several years training in Ireland before assignment to Tanzania, where she has spent the past 37 years. She is now the programme doctor and coordinator of the Faraja Hospice and Palliative Care Programme in Singida. Begun in August 2012 as part of Faraja Centre Community-Based Health Care, Sister Marian and her team provide palliative care, especially end-of-life care, for all who need it in Singida Municipality. Along with two other graduates, Sister Marian was originally to be given the award in 2020 at her 45th class reunion.
