Columbus Junction, IA- The Iowa State Patrol has identified the three individuals killed in a Louisa County crash on May 8th. According to a crash report, a 2006 Toyota Rav4, driven by 48-year-old Musong J. Kizaba of Palatine, Illinois was going eastbound on Highway 94 near the Avenue L intersection and attempted to pass a semi-truck. At the same time, a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by 51-year-old Lori K. Stewart of Tipton was going westbound, and the two vehicles collided before coming to rest in a field north of the roadway. Three people were killed in the crash, Kizaba was airlifted to the University of Iowa Hospital, and Stewart was transported to the University of Iowa Hospital by ambulance. The three killed in the accident were identified as 52-year-old William L. Stewart of Tipton, 44-year-old Jean Munanga of Palatine Illinois, and 45-year-old Mireillie Mulanga Muluila also of Palatine. According to the ISP, William Stewart was the only one not wearing a seatbelt.

A University of Iowa student was arrested for public intoxication after being suspected of an assault at a downtown bar.
Arrest reports and the activity log from Saturday night indicates that the incident occurred at DC’s on South Dubuque Street a little after 7pm. 21-year-old Steven Ostrowski of Palatine Illinois allegedly hit a member of the security staff, but had fled the location by the time officers arrived.
A concerned citizen saw Ostrowski hiding under a vehicle in a parking ramp. One of the officers located him leaving the ramp. Ostrowski allegedly had bloodshot watery eyes, impaired speech, impaired balance, and smelled of ingested alcohol.
