The late nights of crowded tables and copious feasts await another year for those who usually end their fasting days during Ramadan with Iftar at a mosque, gathered at home with friends and family, or at one of Seattle’s many halal restaurants. For the second year in a row, Iftar has been happening mostly at home, with fewer people, and sadly less ceremony.
The smaller or simpler get-togethers shouldn’t mean that the meals should be any less varied or special, but that isn’t always easy when combined with daily (pandemic) life. ....
