sometimes you really have to go through a lot of difficulty to get through the p.r. folks. by the way, the governor is a perfect yes and he is doing a fine job in massachusetts and he is a great guy himself, but, you know, i know what you saw this was a bonding moment and you said obviously the governor thinks a left you, but, man, larry sabato, getting beyond the palace guard. that was impressive, this were several complete sentences. neil: this is framed this way, i find sit down interviews routine and whichst more natural, someone talking to me from the side of their face. he is almost like a statue. neil: and i looked like lurch. we joke about this, you let those who do not want to talk to now a variety of reasons but they have a message they want to get out and they do not want it
self-aware layer we constantly have and for lack of a better word have fun. all the pretty girls on a saturday night fun. thank you, guys. if you want to see my interview, go to my blog and send me a tweet @brookbcnn. government workers spent your money. they even made videos about spending your money. the deputy commissioner of the gsa is not going to talk. here he is, taking the fit in a dramatic exchange just in the past hour on capitol hill. i decline to answer based on my fifth amendment constitutional privilege. did you attend the conference in las vegas? i respectdly decline to answer based upon my fifth constitutional fridge. mr. neely, did you approve the funding for the 2010 western regional conference? mr. chairman, on the advice of my counsel, i respectfully decline to answer based upon my fifth amendment constitutional privilege. just a few more. mr. neely, what was the original budget for that conference? mr. chairman, on the advice of my c
a constant there. there s a myth that there s a palace guard. that the president does not reach out enough. certainly not to people on the hill. he is not in over his head contrary to reports. but it s a legitimate criticism to say that he really needs to reach out more. and remember bill clinton, in the evening he would be on the phone all the time talking to a great variety of people and the president does much less of that. bill, your super pac supporting the obama re-election has a new video up trying to take advantage of some of the perceived republican gaffes. i want to play it. in our world where attacks fly from every angel. i have seen him change his position on so many things. i think that romney s record is so bad. it can get a little lonely out there.
we understand that there is great significance in libya to the tribal system. we also understand that he has hired guns from other african countries. absolutely. he has basically mercenaries who have been hired and who have been the palace guard. the reporting from tripoli seem to me that there is an abandonment as you were discussing with michael singh. that they were beginning to abandon him and they will eventually fight for their own lives more likely than to be loyal to him if he is clearly on his way out. it will become easily apparent to every one that the rebels are now about to, not only are they in tripoli but if they are going neighborhood to neighborhood and finding local support, that perhaps it is only hours before they will have significant hold of the capital. this is a very big city and there are a lot of areas, and there could be door to door street to street fighting. so this is not necessarily going to happen overnight.
but he appears content with what we are doing and let french and british lead. in time, gaddafi is going to leave. or be killed. or be assassinated by his own palace guard. but in time, could be a week, month, six months or a year. meantime, libya is bleeding. a lot of people are suffering. but i think the position now is one that is sort of set. the course is not going to change. bret: we are hearing now that secretary of state clinton will head out to the uae to confer with the contact group. this is nato nations as well as other nations involved in the libya campaign. it says to assess the evident to get gaddafi to leave, increase support for the country s opposition. yeah, it s been four months. they still have not consulted with congress on this. they still don t have authorization to do what they are doing. i have don t know on what planet progress is significant
